Dylan Efron Sets the Record Straight on Those Controversial Showering Comments — in a Speedo, of Course
The ‘Traitors’ star previously said that showering was “overrated”

Dylan Efron dressed down to set the record straight.
The Traitors star, 33, clarified his recent comments on showering being “overrated” in a new video shared to his Instagram Stories that showed him wearing nothing but a colorful Speedo.
In the clip, Efron proves that he still showers despite his strong opinions by stepping under an outdoor shower while wearing a black Speedo with a green, yellow and blue design. First, he is seen rinsing off under the shower faucet before turning it off and walking towards his camera.

While appearing on the Feb. 28 episode of the interview show Are You Okay?, Zac Efron’s younger brother shared his hot take on showers. “I think people shower too much,” he said, adding, “We take way too many showers. I go in the pool a lot. Like, there’s chlorine — it’s killing everything.”
When the show’s host pointed out that you can’t properly wash yourself in a pool, he replied, “We don’t need to soap our bodies every time we’re in the shower, either. That’s way too much!”
People in the comments section were quick to dismiss Dylan’s answer, with one writing, “I want to go back to a time I didn’t hear this take on too many showers 😓.”

Another commenter wrote, “He doesn’t shower, he’s NOT okay.”
After the shocking comments, Efron joined the ranks of celebrities who have previously admitted their aversion to showering. In 2021, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher made headlines for their controversial shower opinions regarding themselves and their kids.
The couple — who share daughter Wyatt Isabelle and son Dimitri Portwood — revealed during an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast that they don’t believe in washing with soap every day.
The subject came up when co-hosts Dax Shepard and Monica Padman started discussing how frequently they shower. When Shepard insisted that Padman “should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day” and instead only wash with water,” Kunis and Kutcher agreed.
“I can’t believe I am in the minority here of washing my whole body in the shower. Who taught you to not wash?” Padman asked, to which Kunis replied, “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway.”
“But when I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day,” she actress continued. “I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”
A few months later, Kristen Bell, who shares daughters Lincoln and Delta with husband Shepard, told The View in response to the discourse sparked by the podcast episode that they also do not regularly bathe their kids.
“I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up,” she said. “There’s a red flag. Honestly, it’s just bacteria; once you get bacteria you gotta be like, ‘Get in the tub or the shower.’ So I don’t hate what [Kunis and Kutcher] are doing. I wait for the stink.”

Traitors’ Dylan Efron Reveals Why He Posed For Those Viral Thirst Traps
Traitors star Dylan Efron, younger brother of Zac Efron, shared behind-the-scenes details about the impromptu photoshoot that took the internet by storm.
Dylan Efron isn’t Miss Guided when it comes to his amateur modeling skills.
Case in point: the carousel of photos from a photoshoot at the beach that the Traitors star posted to social media back in August. And as the snaps have caught fans eyes as amid his breakout appearance on the Peacock reality series, he shared insight into what was going on behind the scenes of the impromptu shoot.
“My girlfriend took the photo,” Dylan told Erin Lim Rhodes in an exclusive interview on E! News’ The Rundown. “This was more that I’m trying to make her laugh as she’s taking photos.”
However, the 33-year-old—the younger brother of Zac Efron—wasn’t quick to post the photos, admitting he didn’t hit the upload button until “months later.”
But it was only after the third season of Traitors—hosted by Alan Cumming—premiered that curious fans did a deep dive into his social media and the photos made their way to the surface. discovered the flicks during an Instagram investigation.
“I was like, ‘Ah, I never posted that, it’s kinda funny,’” he joked. “I hid it in a carousel and then the show comes out. It was found out pretty quick.”
But while Dylan showcased was more confident to pose for the sexy pics while in the name of fun with his girlfriend, he also teased bringing a different persona to life—the drag persona Bob The Drag Queen bestowed him with during the Traitors round table.
“We’ve talked about maybe bringing Miss Guided to life,” Dylan explained. “I’m only going to do it with him, so we’ll see what we come up with.”
In addition to bonding with the RuPaul’s Drag Race star, the Down to Earth alum that one of the connections he made during his time in Scotland was with Tom Sandoval, despite “not knowing much of him” before arriving on set.
One thing he learned for sure, the Vanderpump Rules star will always give it his all—as demonstrated in the baby doll lullaby challenge.
“We hear the mission and then it takes an hour before that mission starts,” he said. “Alan reads the mission, immediately he starts doing vocal warmups, and we’re all just like, ‘No, stop.’”
“He goes to the medic, he’s like, ‘I need a cough drop,’” he added. “And we’re just like, ‘Tom we’ve got an hour bro like stop.’ But that’s Tom, he gives 100 percent.”

The Traitors fan fave Dylan Efron is proving he really does shower – with a new shirtless speedo video!
The 33-year-old younger brother of Zac Efron recently made some statements that had some fans confused.
“I think people shower too much,” Dylan said. “We take way too many showers…We don’t need to soap our bodies every time we’re in the shower, either. That’s way too much!”
Well, after those comments, Dylan proved everyone wrong by stripping down to a speedo and showering off. He posted the video to his Instagram Story, and it was caught before it expired.
