It’s unclear why there are two National Sons Days. Some blame social media for the double quasi-holiday, as the two dates came about in the age of the influencers, some of whom chose March to celebrate while others chose September.

National Daughters Day is Thursday, Sept. 25.
Mother’s Day lands on Sunday, May 11, this year.
