‘The Way Home’ Renewed For Fourth Season By Hallmark
By Lynette Rice
The Way Home is coming back for a fourth season.
The Hallmark drama starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams and Sadie Laflamme-Snow will conclude its third season Friday. All three seasons of the series are available to stream on Hallmark+.
The fourth season will debut sometime in 2026.
“Our talented writing staff led by the mother-daughter showrunning team of Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke continues to amaze us as they raise the bar each season,” said Samantha DiPippo, SVP Programming at Hallmark Media. “Their carefully crafted storytelling filled with family drama, romance and an absorbing mystery has enthralled the show’s passionate fanbase and has made The Way Home appointment television.”

Last year, Hallmark found itself in the crosshairs of fans after it announced the popular series was going to migrate from the linear cable network to Hallmark+ for its upcoming third season. The company clearly wanted to use one of its flagship titles to boost subscriptions for its new streaming platform. But fans were not impressed, expressing frustration that the switch would require them to pay extra in order to continue to watch the show.

Hallmark reversed its decision a few weeks later.

So happy for a 4th season of the The Way Home… would love to have seen that Casey was Alice and Max’s daughter but according to tonight’s show that is not true. Hopefully, Hallmark will leave the show on linear cable TV and not just streaming. Would be nice to see it back on Sunday nights too… But ultimately just glad it will be back. It is my favorite show on Hallmark.
YES!!!
Great call, Hallmark! Keep quality programming like The Way Home!! So happy to hear this news today!
I hope it’s on The Hallmark Channel again like it has been. This current season was initially announced as only being available on Hallmark+. It would not air on The Hallmark Channel until September! Thankfully they changed their mind and aired it on Hallmark Channel. Keep it there.
Fantastic news! Now put it back on Sunday nights!

The Way Home is undoubtedly one of the best shows on the Hallmark network. Telling the tale of the powerful Landry family and their time-traveling trips through three generations, the show has endeared itself to millions of fans since its January 2023 debut. Currently, the show is in its third season, with just the hotly-anticipated finale, “If You Could Read My Mind,” still to come. However, it is what lives beyond said finale that has most fans talking, with the hunger for the show to be renewed for a fourth season manifesting into a Change.org petition that has so far earned over 7,000 signatures.
Despite such an incredible reaction from the show’s many fans in their bid to have The Way Home renewed, it can be difficult to truly gauge whether or not such vocal outcry is working. Well, lovers of The Way Home and signees of the petition, in an interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, creators Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke have discussed exactly that. When mentioning the petition and the passionate call for more The Way Home from fans, Clarke gushed over the support they’d received, saying, “It’s been so incredible seeing the fan reaction this season,” adding, “It’s really touched us. They’re putting petitions up… I just think it’s so, so kind and so amazing, and we’re so flattered.”
But does this sort of petition help? Nemiroff asked Clarke and Conkie this exact question, with the response coming many had likely hoped for. “I think every little bit helps,” Clarke noted. “I can’t imagine that it doesn’t. I certainly have the Change.org page on my phone, and I’m refreshing it all the time to see the number go up, the number of signatures. It’s so lovely, it’s the greatest compliment.” Conkie then added:
“The support from the fans right from the get-go has been astounding, and they have caused change in the past, so I think they should keep their fingers crossed that they can cause change now.”
Those fingers have been and will remain tightly crossed for millions of The Way Home fans, with hopes high that this petition, plus a strong fan reaction to the current third season, can encourage Hallmark to greenlight a fourth season. Alas, Hallmark’s future still remains uncertain after poor viewership figures and the ever-hardening battle against the biggest networks and streamers. But, if they keep producing shows of this quality, hopefully the space for said shows to grow and thrive will remain available.
Make sure to stay tuned to Collider for more updates on The Way Home, including news on whether we’ll get a Season 4.

With everything going on in this stressful world I look forward to Friday night getting lost in this magical show. Please keep it going. It is much needed.
If the very first episode didn’t pull you in, I don’t know what will! I love The Way Home and have suggested this show to many others who fell in love with it just as I have! The writers deserve every award for keeping us all on the edge of our seats with each new time travel! I hope Hallmark listens to the fans, each actor is perfect!
I am someone in my 40s that hates the type of shows created these days. They simply mess with my morals to much. The Way Home is 1 of the very few shows in recent yrs that ive simply become addicted too. It does involve time travel but Not in an unbelievable or massively Sci fi manner. Its also very original to me.
I just love the way home and it’s content I love the fantasy and concept of time travel
Hallmark series and movies are the best. I have been watching them for years. We live in a crazy times right now and its nice to tune out that craziness with a Hallmark movie or show. The Way Home is one great example. I have watching this since day one. Same for When Calls The Heart. Hallmark movies are great as well, love Christmas in July and movies in December. Please keep the series going, its what keeps us going. Thank you
I love this show and agree that it’s a perfect getaway from life’s hardships. I’m a widow and have always loved mysteries. This is such a good cast and I look forward to trying to piece the puzzles together. I have several family members and friends who also love it!
I love The Way Home and I really hope it continues for another season (season4) because I look forward to watching it every week! You have so much of a story to complete.
Move the way home back to Sunday. It is one of my favorite shows.please have season 4. It’s the beat. Great cast!
The Way Home is my alltime favorite show. I watch it over and over. In this crazy world it is a pleasant distraction. Please continue this series. Many of us need this time to decompress and let our minds, heart and souls escape to a better place. Thank you. Le
Quick question, if someone records (the way home) on Friday night at 9, and watches it the next day does that show up for their viewers that are watching live, last year it was on Sunday night and fans enjoy watching it because they can relax, this year it’s on Fridays and a lot of fans work,go out to restaurants and spend time with families and friends and record it then watch it on a different day,j
The way home is by far the best show on TV, in my opinion, it’s clean, tasteful, and keeps you in suspense,
If this show is canceled I will probably quit watching the Hallmark channels. There are way to many ends that need to be tied up. And please have Kat and Elliot be together.
The Way Home has to go on for at least 7 seasons because the music and narrator are the same as Lost. Just a thought. We can’t get enough!
I love this show. Best series ever made but can’t afford to add a channel I have to pay for so please leave on regular Hallmark. Love you guys!!
The way home is the best I’ve seen on Hallmark channel I absolutely love this show I never miss an episode I actually record them all and rewatch them over and over to the next episode comes out it’s so fun to watch My Friday nights are spent getting ready to watch the show at 9:00 I’ve never been so addicted to a show like this one The writers or amazing coming up with the storyline absolutely amazing to me with this show on Hallmark made a huge step up from all their love stories that actually make me sick to my stomach sometimes lol it gives it a new zing into their channel I’ve never really been a Hallmark love channel fan until this the way home came out I would watch a hundred seasons of this show please keep the show going !
The Way Home is one of the best shows that keeps my attention on the edge! I would hate to see it end so soon. I hope that my comments will help the process by continuing for another season and another season and another season! Thank you so much
Finally, Hallmark has a show with depth and intriguing characters instead of the usual: successful business woman returns home to save small business and meets local boy and falls in love— Hallmark, could you PLEASE keep this quality on air for more seasons to come and build a viewer base that appreciates more than a Harlequin romance?!!!
Please announce season 4 and hopefully more!! Love this show and the cast you’ve put together!
My wife and I love TWH , love the story telling and acting!!! We think part of the viewership problem was putting it on Friday nite in prime time….Should have been left on the weekend in our opinion….Let’s hope for the best….
I love TWH!!! Normally we go out to eat on Friday nite but we have to be home before the show starts. I would prefer you go back to airing on Sunday. I’m 68 and appreciate none of the “woke” business in this show. It’s tastefully done, great actors, a break from reality, and it would be a shame to not have a 4th season.
I love The TV Series The Way Home best tv Series since Raising Kanan Power Book 3
Love the show!
If this great show is cancelled, I won’t watch this channel ever again.
This story deserves to be told all the way to the end and we need more than 3 seasons to tell it. Cancelling this show would be such a mistake. I’m hoping -no- praying we get a season 4 and more!
