Teddi Mellencamp revealed that more tumors have been found in her brain and lungs.
On Thursday, March 6, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, posted a health update to her Instagram profile, and then added the update to her Instagram Stories minutes later.
“I have 3 more tumors in my brain and 2 tumors on my lungs. These are all a direct result of my melanoma,” she began the Instagram caption. Over the past two years, she had 17 different spots of melanoma removed.
“The doctors are hopeful that these additional mutations will be removed via immunotherapy. That begins Tuesday at 11AM,” she continued. “I am feeling positive and excited— that I will beat these tumors.”
She also shared she got a blonde wig, confirming that she does “like the short hair, just not the bald spots.”
“Now, as @bravoandy would say: with all due… f*** off, cancer!”

On Tuesday, Feb. 12, Mellencamp said she was “dealing with severe and debilitating headaches” for several weeks. The “unbearable” pain then “required hospitalization.” Once at the hospital on Monday, Feb. 11, she received a CT scan and MRI, and “doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”
Four of the tumors were surgically removed on Feb. 12. “The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” she wrote at the time.
Nearly two weeks later, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, she shared her first post-surgery update. “I am so grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctor, and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process comfortable,” she wrote. “This fight is not over, but that round has been won.”
She also added a video on her Instagram Stories of her getting surgical staples removed from the back of her head.
Two days later, she said she was “ready for radiation,” in a Friday, Feb. 28 Instagram post.
On Tuesday, March 3, she revealed she was returning home from the hospital after being in the facility’s care for 16 days. “Thank you to all my loves and life savers for getting me to this day,” she captioned her Instagram Stories.
The podcast host also confessed that it is “obviously very emotional watching your body change with so much medication from the brain tumors.”
“But just trying to remember how grateful I am that I can move my body again,” she said while tearing up. “One day at a time and I’ll get back to where I wanna be, feeling my best.”

Mellencamp’s latest diagnosis comes amid her years-long battle with skin cancer and the removal of over 17 different spots of melanoma — most recently in December 2024.
According to the National Institute of Health, up to 60% of patients with advanced melanoma develop brain metastases during the course of their disease, and “the presence of brain metastases significantly worsens a patient’s prognosis.” This occurs when cancer cells migrate through the blood-brain barrier.

Teddi Mellencamp Shares Emotional New Update After Brain Cancer Surgery
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is finally out of the hospital following brain cancer surgery. The wellness coach recently gave her fans an update, taking to her Instagram Stories on the car ride home: “16 days and I get to go home! Thank you to all my loves and life savers for getting me to this.”
In the clip, Teddi sang along to Coming Home, and got visibly emotional. Despite going through such traumatic surgery, the reality star and podcaster is looking fantastic.
The All In founder also posted a video of herself walking on a treadmill at home, as she moves forward following her surgery.
“Starting back slow,” she said in the clip. “Obviously, [it’s] very emotional watching your body change from so much medication from the brain tumors. But just trying to remember how grateful I am that I can move my body again.”
“One day at a time,” she added. “I’ll get back to where I wanna be — feeling my best.”
Turning the camera around, Teddi showed the bruises on her swollen arms from all the IVs during her hospital stay.
“Bruising and swelling, but I know I can do this,” she added alongside the clip. “F*ck off tears. I can do hard things.”
Following her time on the treadmill, the mom of three immersed herself in a cold plunge, which many believe can reduce muscle soreness and speed up recovery after a workout. Assuring her followers that her doctor okayed the cold plunge in advance, she moved on to the sauna next.
In February, Teddi underwent brain cancer surgery, following weeks of “severe and debilitating headaches.” When the pain became “unbearable,” she finally went to the hospital and was diagnosed with multiple tumors.
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.” But she later reported that “more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total.”
“This fight is not over, but that round has been won,” she added, expressing gratitude to her medical team.
“Doctors have told her this will be a long-term recovery process,” an inside source told The Sun in February. “The recovery length is dependent on a lot of ‘to be determined’ factors, but doctors have been upfront this could be a years-long battle.”
In October 2022, the wellness coach was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma (skin cancer). Since then she’s documented her 20+ surgeries on social media. Through it all, Teddi has remained inspiring. We wish her all the best as she continues on in her journey.

Last month, Mellencamp had emergency brain surgery. At the time, her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave updated fans on her condition.
“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well,” Arroyave shared via Instagram Story on the evening of Feb. 13. Despite things going well, he’s “never seen [Mellencamp] in so much pain.”
The day before her Feb. 12 surgery, Mellencamp shared her own post, updating fans on her condition and need for emergency surgery.
“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches,” the reality star wrote shortly before the operation, sharing that the day before the pain had become “unbearable.”
Mellencamp added that CT scan and MRI revealed “multiple tumors” on her brain, which she said they suspected “have been growing for at least 6 months.” Doctors planned to remove two of them immediately, and leave the “remaining smaller tumors [to] be dealt with at a later date.”
This is Teddi’s second major health scare in two years. In 2023, Mellencamp opened up to her fans about getting surgery for stage 2 melanoma on her shoulder.
“Please get your skin checked,” she urged her followers at the time. “I promise you do not want to go through this.”
