The Spurs blow another big lead as they go 0-2 in New Orleans.
The San Antonio Spurs experienced a bit of Deja Vu in Louisiana on Tuesday night. After losing a late lead to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, the Spurs dropped another game after going up big in the first half. San Antonio couldn’t hold off the surging Pelicans in a 109-103 loss.
The Spurs built up a 19-point lead in the first half, but it was erased early in the fourth quarter when the Pelicans took an 89-87 lead. San Antonio allowed the Pelicans to get back into the game with shoddy interior defense and turnovers. The Spurs turned the ball over 20 times and were outscored in the paint 66-44. To make matters worse, San Antonio allowed 20 offensive rebounds and shot just 29.5% from three. Neither team was clicking offensively, but the Pelicans paint attack gave them the advantage.
The Pelicans were led by their budding star wing, Trey Murphy III who had a game-high 24 points. Devin Vassell led the Spurs in scoring with 20 points.

Sometimes it’s comfort, sometimes it’s food available, but always it’s the ability to pee the moment we need to. This raises the question: what happens when an athlete really has to go? Well, we’re here to discuss.
The Spurs have just two games left in the rodeo road trip. They’ll head to Houston for a matchup with the rival Rockets tomorrow night.
