NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Multiple Middle Tennessee school districts will be closed or delayed on Friday, February 21, due to the lingering extreme cold temperatures in Tennessee and Southern Kentucky following this week’s winter storm.
Below you’ll find a list of Middle Tennessee school districts that have announced closings or delayed start times for Friday, so far.

Midstate schools close as dangerous cold lasts through Friday
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A First Alert Weather Day was issued for Friday as the week will end with dangerously cold temperatures and the possibility of slick roads remaining from the midweek snowfall.
From midnight to 10 a.m. on Friday, a Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect, much like Thursday.
Lows Thursday night and into Friday morning will drop into the single digits across most of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. Temperatures will get back near that freezing mark by Friday afternoon under a partly cloudy sky.
