2025 NBA All-Star Game schedule: Time, TV channel, bracket for mini tournament, where to watch

The NBA’s 2025 All-Star Weekend has arrived. We saw the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night and Mac McClung win the Dunk Contest for the third year in a row (and some Skills Challenge Controversy) on Saturday night. Sunday brings us the new-look All-Star Game. Stars like Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Anthony Edwards and Victor Wembanyama will be taking the court in a tournament-style ASG at the Warriors’ Chase Center.

Tthe NBA has completely revamped the format of the All-Star Game in 2025. This year, the 24 All-Stars were drafted into three teams of eight players each by Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith. Team Chris Mullin, which won the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, will join the three other All-Star teams on Sunday night to play a mini single-elimination tournament.

Each team of All-Stars has a noticeable theme throughout its roster.

Kenny’s Young Stars (featuring Edwards, Jalen Brunson and Cade Cunningham) will face Chuck’s Global Stars (featuring Wembanyama, Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander) in the first semifinal. Shaq’s OGs (featuring Curry and Kevin Durant, but not LeBron James, who will miss the game with injury) will face Candace’s Rising Stars (led by Spurs rookie and Dunk Contest runner-up Stephon Castle). The winners will then meet in the championship for the right to be named 2025 NBA All-Star champions. In each game, the first team to reach 40 points wins.

Here’s a look at the complete schedule for Sunday, including the full bracket and times for the All-Star Game.

All times ET

The National Basketball Retired Players Association will host its annual awards ceremony.

The G League’s most exciting players were drafted into four teams and will compete in a mini tournament. This year’s teams are: Team Braxton, Team Earn Your Leisure, Team Swish Cultures and Team Strictly

The NBA’s best players will take center stage during the annual All-Star Game. This year, the format was changed to a mini tournament featuring three NBA All-Star teams: Chuck’s Global Stars, Kenny’s Young Guns, and Shaq’s OGs — and Team Chris Mullin, the winner of Rising Stars Challenge.

Here’s a look at the All-Star Game tournament schedule and bracket:

The winner of each game in the mini tournament will be the first team to reach 40 points. There is a prize pool of $1.8 million. Each player on the championship-winning team gets $125,000. Players on the second-place team get $50,000. Players on the teams that lose in the semifinals get $25,000.

Thousands of fans flock to Thrive City in San Francisco for NBA All-Star weekend events

Thousands of visitors flocked over to Thrive City at the Chase Center in San Francisco for NBA All-Star events.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Follow the fans and they’ll lead you here: Thrive City at Chase Center.

“I enjoy the set-up. And as a fan, it’s a good experience,” said Ramon Fernando, who came out with his family. They live in San Ramon.

Thousands showed up for the NBA All-Star events and some for celebrity sightseeing.

“We were actually going to go to a museum, and then we just saw athletes walk around the city. People are following them. Then we got to go to the crossover event. So, that was super dope to be a part of,” said Isaiah Hernandez, who lives in Redding. He was accompanied by his girlfriend.

“I got a chance to see Shaq!” said Dustin Coakley, Oakley resident. “Wow! It’s so surreal to see someone in person.”

NBA All-Star 2025: Times, details, how to watch weekend’s events around Bay Area

Of course, not everyone made it inside for the sold-out events. But there were other events to keep everyone busy.

“We were doing three-on-three. Our team won, so we got to keep the shoes,” said 10-year-old Julianna Norton.

And the fans poured in from across the country.

Sanchez McNatt is from South Carolina. This is his first time visiting the Bay Area. He went to the Oakland Coliseum for events on Friday and Chase Center on Saturday for the dunk contest. But his big takeaway away: the City of San Francisco.

“It’s been lovely. The food is delicious. Man, I’m literally stuffed now. No lie,” said McNatt with a laugh. “Impressed! I love it. I’m coming back.”

Even some of the locals were feeling the buzz.

“It’s awesome! It’s so awesome, and I think it’s done a lot for the city,” said Vanessa Kwong, who lives near Chase Center. “It just feels like it is revitalizing, bringing the energy back to San Francisco. It has been missing for a long time.”

“I would say San Francisco stepped (it) up a notch when it comes to security. Especially with what happens with (these) events. Everything is tight and locked,” Fernando said.

The All-Star weekend comes to an end with the All-Star game on Sunday.
