Men’s ACC tournament bracket: TV schedule, seedings for 2025 championship

Image

The 2024-25 men’s basketball season has been a trying one for the ACC, with only three of its teams widely projected to make the NCAA Tournament.

As NC State showed last year, though, the ACC tournament could be full of surprises.

The 15-team event tips off Tuesday, with several programs heading to the Spectrum Center in Charlotte with hopes of either improving their tournament seeding or keeping their fleeting March Madness dreams alive.

Led by potential national player of the year Cooper Flagg, Duke has been the league’s behemoth throughout the season, carrying a 18-1 mark in conference play entering its regular-season finale Saturday at North Carolina. Clemson and Louisville have been excellent, as well, with both looking like potential threats to make it to the second week of the NCAA Tournament.

Beyond that trio, the conference’s outlook is a little murkier. North Carolina’s late-season push has put it squarely on the tournament bubble, where it is joined by the likes of Wake Forest and SMU, both of which have stumbled down the stretch.

Here’s a look at the 2025 ACC men’s basketball tournament bracket, schedule, TV channels, streaming information and more:

Seeding for the ACC tournament remains to be finalized on the last day of the regular season, with several teams still in play for the No. 1 seed.

This section will be updated as seeding is finalized on Saturday. Teams’ conference records in parentheses.

The 2025 ACC men’s basketball tournament will air on the ESPN family of networks. The first round will be shown on the ACC Network, while later rounds will be broadcast on either ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.

Saturday’s championship game will air on ESPN. Dave O’Brien (play-by-play) and Cory Alexander (analyst) will be on the call for the games, with the traditional ACC Tournament pairing of Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas will be at the SEC Tournament.

Streaming options for the ACC Tournament include the ESPN app, ESPN+ โ€” ESPN’s subscription streaming service โ€” and Fubo, the last of which offers a free trial to potential subscribers.

How does Selection Sunday work? What to know about March Madness brackets

Image

Selection Sunday is only a week away and will determine the 68-team field competing for the March Madness Naismith trophy, setting the stage for thrilling action.

The NCAA Division I men’s basketball 12 committee members follow a meticulous process when establishing the March Madness bracket. They select the 37 best at-large teams that are not automatic qualifiers from their conferences and seed the field of 68 teams to create competitive balance in each region of the bracket.

Here is how to watch the Selection Sunday show where the teams for the upcoming NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament will be set and the matchups determined.

The NCAA tournament selection committee is responsible for selecting the 37 at-large teams from the field that are not automatic qualifiers. The committee considers a team’s strength of schedule, quality of wins, and statistical performance when making their picks. Additionally, the committee is responsible for seeding the teams and creating the tournament bracket.

The committee consists of conference commissioners and athletic directors. Members are nominated by their conference and serve five-year terms.

According to the NCAA, here are the members of the selection committee.

The Selection Sunday show coverage begins on March 16 at 6 p.m. ET on CBS.
