LiAngelo Ball Performed ‘Tweaker’ at NBA All-Star Saturday Night
NBA All-Star Weekend is in full swing, and Saturday night is when things really get cooking. One never knows what’s going to happen between the dunks and three-point shooting and assorted skill competitions. And while the most memorable moment of the night may end up being the bizarre disqualification of Chris Paul and Victor Wembanyama, LiAngelo Ball performing “Tweaker” after getting introduced by his brother Lonzo was of note.

This is yet another data point for what has been a meteoric musical rise for Ball. Him performing a legitimate hit song amid the All-Star facilities was not something anyone had on their bingo card even two months ago, but legitimate bangers can really expedite the process.
While he’s there it would be a great idea for someone in the Dunk Contest to work him into the mix. Have to strike while the iron is hot.

LiAngelo Ball made it to NBA All-Star Weekend, taking the star on All-Star Saturday Night to perform “Tweaker” in San Francisco.
The viral hit of the former professional basketball player turned rapper was on full display at Chase Center after the NBA Skills Challenge ended. While his younger brother LaMelo Ball was one of the biggest snubs from the NBA All-Star Game, the family was still represented thanks to Gelo’s performance.
Gelo, who recently turned the song into a lucrative record deal, got to play the hit song in front of a crowd of basketball fans. You can watch it here:

Did LiAngelo Ball play basketball? Revisiting rapper’s college career at UCLA, G League stats and NBA chances
NBA
DAN TREACY
LaVar Ball has achieved his dream of getting all three sons to the NBA, in a sense.
While Lonzo and LaMelo Ball play at the highest level, LiAngelo Ball is set to take NBA All-Star Weekend by storm with a performance of his song, “Tweaker.”
Ball, the middle child between Lonzo and LaMelo, has seen his music career take off early in 2025, getting the chance to perform before the Lions’ divisional round game ahead of his All-Star opportunity in San Francisco. It wasn’t long ago that his basketball dreams were still alive, too.
Here’s a look back at Ball’s basketball career, including his college stats and highlights.

Before he became better known as “GELO” or “G3,” Ball aspired to play in the NBA.
While he wasn’t a highly-touted recruit, Ball started his freshman season at UCLA alongside his brother, Lonzo. That stint only lasted one preseason game, as he was arrested for stealing sunglasses after an exhibition game in China and was suspended by the Bruins once he was returned to the U.S.
Ball withdrew from the program by December, ending his college career.
After leaving UCLA, Ball spent time playing alongside LaMelo in Lithuania. He went undrafted in 2018 and briefly played in his father’s Junior Basketball Association before finally latching on with the G League’s Oklahoma City Blue in late 2019.
Ball spent the next few years bouncing around. He never played a game with the Blue due to the COVID-19 pandemic and spent 11 days with the Pistons during training camp in 2020 before finally getting a chance with the Hornets’ G League team in 2021.
Ball spent parts of two seasons with the Greensboro Swarm, playing 28 of his 31 career games in 2021-22. He most recently played for Astros de Jalisco in Mexico in 2024 but only appeared in two games before suffering an ankle injury.
Ball never appeared in a regular season game at UCLA, but he did play in 31 G League games with the Greensboro Swarm. Here are his career numbers:
Ball primary came off the bench with the Swarm, averaging 4.4 points per game on a less-than-efficient 38.2 percent shooting.
