A reporter for conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ InfoWars was brutally murdered outside his south Austin apartment late on Sunday night.

Jamie White was found badly wounded outside his home on Douglas Street around midnight in a slaying that Jones blamed on Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza.

Officers from Austin Police Department responded to 911 calls reporting a man with ‘obvious signs of trauma.’

White was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police have called the incident a homicide but have not identified any suspects. The slaying had been investigated as a shooting/stabbing but authorities have not released additional information.

In a fiery and emotional video on Monday afternoon, Jones did not hold back in assigning blame, squarely targeting the district attorney.

‘I lay all of this squarely at the feet of Soros and of the sort of crime syndicate of the Democratic Party. They are the ones that administratively cut the police, prosecuted the police, and even cases that are hundred percent clear to be lawful, legal activities,’ Jones ranted.

‘You murdered Jamie White, you opened the door, you created the climate, you created conditions on purpose. George Soros. Alexander Soros, you murdered Jamie White.’

‘These are sick, degenerate, evil people that know what they’re doing and they aided and abetted. They are accomplices to the murder of a great American and Infowars long time veteran reporter Jamie White.’

Garza is known for his progressive policies and his campaign was backed by billionaire financier George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

Jones claimed that White’s death was the inevitable result of what he called ‘vicious policies’ by Soros-backed DAs like Garza, whom he accused of intentionally undermining law enforcement and letting violent criminals roam free.

Jones also cited unnamed Austin police officers and detectives as sources, claiming that many in law enforcement are frustrated and demoralized by what they see as Garza’s refusal to prosecute dangerous offenders.

The Austin Police Department has so far not publicly commented on any political links.

Austin has struggled recently with rising violent crime, a trend critics say has worsened under Garza’s tenure as DA since 2021 after he won the position with the backing of national progressive groups advocating for criminal justice reform.

Soros’ donation came a year after his non-profit funneled $652,000 to the Texas Justice and Public Safety PAC group that backed the election of Jose Garza, who assumed office as Travis County DA, based in Austin.

Soros’ Open Society Policy Center also donated $500,000 to Equity PAC, a Texas-based group that funds progressive causes and was working to oppose a ballot proposition that would have seen the capital city of Austin hire hundreds of new police officers amid a spike in violent crime.

But the proposition was overwhelmingly defeated in 2020 thanks to Soros’ cash injection which funded ad campaigns throughout Austin. Garza then won his re-election in 2024 keeping him in the role for a further four years.

‘When you see Soros seizing control of over 800 jurisdictions protecting serious narcotics gangs and human trafficking gangs and you when you see different feds and ICE calling and warning some of those violent gangs in the world that there’s ICE raids coming,’ Jones began in a 15 minute ramble.

‘There are so many communist traitors in the government that they’re having to polygraph now to find out who’s doing it. This is a crisis and again, defunding the police. All of this is meant to destabilize the collapse society,’ Jones ranted.

The apartment complex was cordoned off with crime scene tape following Sunday night’s killing

Jones suggested the murder may have been a targeted attack, raising questions about whether White’s work as an InfoWars reporter might have made him a marked man

For the last several years, billionaire philanthropist George Soros has been quietly financing a revolution in criminal justice reform, doling out tens of millions of dollars to progressive candidates in district attorney races throughout the country

Jones suggested the murder may have been a targeted attack, raising questions about whether White’s work as an InfoWars reporter might have made him a marked man.

‘There are a lot of really cool people that have worked at Infowars over the years, and one of the most amazing people was Jamie White. You know him as a great reporter and researcher,’ Jones said in Monday’s video message.

‘He was up here last night working late during the Sunday show and after it Jaime was murdered last night outside of his home just a few miles away from our studios.

‘He’s always here early, loves to work, loves to fight tyranny, love, promote freedom. And when they got to the apartment complex, there was yellow tape everywhere and blood all over the parking lot. And we went and talked to the manager. They didn’t know anything,’ Jones explained.

InfoWars, founded by Jones, has been embroiled in controversy for years over its inflammatory far-right content and conspiracy theories.

InfoWars vowed to honor Jamie White’s memory by continuing his work, promising that his ‘tragic death will not be in vain.’

‘This was a great American. A man of conviction. And they killed him,’ Jones said, visibly shaken. ‘But we will never stop fighting for justice. For Jamie. For everyone who’s been a victim of this engineered crime wave.’

Jamie White, a writer and reporter for the controversial show InfoWars, was killed overnight following an incident outside his apartment in Texas, Alex Jones announced.

Officers responded at 11:57 p.m. on Sunday to reports of a “shoot/stab hotshot” emergency in the 2300 block of Douglas Street in Austin, according to Austin Police Detective Leah Ratliff. Upon arrival, officers found a male in the parking lot with “obvious signs of trauma.” He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Alex Jones confirmed on his show that the victim was InfoWars reporter Jamie White. Jones said that the crime took place outside the reporter’s home, located a few miles from the studios.

The InfoWars crew learned about White’s murder after becoming concerned when he did not arrive for work on Monday and began searching for him, Jones said.

“We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice,” Jones said in a social media post. “Jamie’s important work will be carried on through InfoWars, our readers, and our cherished listeners.”

No further details, including the suspect’s identity or status, the circumstances, or a possible motive, were released by Austin Police.
