(WJW) – Gypsy Rose Blanchard is offering words of advice to the Menendez Brothers, on the chance that they are released from prison.
According to TMZ, Blanchard was at LAX Monday night when she was asked what advice she would give Erik and Lyle Menendez if they become free.
“The one thing I wish I did was take the time away from the media when I first came out of prison and give myself time to adjust,” she told TMZ. “I didn’t do that, and I got overwhelmed by it.”
Blanchard spent time in prison in connection with the murder of her mother before she was released in 2024. The Menendez Brothers have spent decades behind bars for the murder of their parents. They have made multiple appeals to be released.
Blanchard told TMZ that the Menendez Brothers should take some time to themselves to adjust to life on the outside before getting in front of cameras. She said she regrets jumping straight into the media when she was released from prison.
“If they ever do get released, take a break, really kind of like work on yourself, get your feet on the ground,” Blanchard said. “And then if that’s something you want to do, go right ahead.”

Gypsy Rose Tells Menendez Bros to Enjoy Freedom Before Hollywood If They Get Out
Gypsy Rose Blanchard says the Menendez Brothers should pump the brakes before going full Hollywood if they are released from prison … advising them to enjoy their freedom first.
Gypsy was at LAX Monday night when a photog asked what advice she would give Erik and Lyle if they become free men.
The Menendez Bros are pretty famous and Hollywood is waiting with tons of opportunities, but Gypsy says Erik and Lyle would be wise to take some time to themselves to adjust to life on the outside before getting in front of cameras.
Gypsy dove straight into the media frenzy when she was released from prison a little over a year ago … and she explains why that’s something she regrets.
The Menendez Brothers were on the “2 Angry Men” Podcast, and talked about what they wanted to do with their lives if they get out.
Hollywood will always be there, Gypsy says, and she thinks Erik and Lyle could still get their own show down the line … if they ever become free men. No matter how long it takes, Gypsy says she will tune in so the brothers can bide their time.
It could be a while before Erik and Lyle are freed … new L.A. County D.A. Nathan Hochman didn’t exactly give them a ringing endorsement in his latest comments on the case.
The possibility is still out there, though, and Gypsy’s also got advice for how to handle romantic relationships … give the clip a listen.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has advice for the Menendez Brothers should they be released from prison.
“The one thing I wish I did was take the time away from the media when I first came out of prison and give myself time to adjust,” she told TMZ. “I didn’t do that and I got overwhelmed by it.”
Blanchard, like Lyle and Erik Menendez, spent time in prison in connection with the murder of her mother. The brothers, who have spent decades behind bars, have made multiple appeals to be released.
The Menendez brothers were sentenced to life in prison in 1996 following a second trial at which they were found guilty of murdering their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez.
Like Blanchard, the Menendez brothers have accused their parents of abuse, claiming that Jose sexually abused them while their mother failed to step in and prevent it. Lyle and Erik then used shotguns to kill their parents in August 1989.
Blanchard was released from prison in January 2024, nine years after her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn fatally stabbed her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who for years had abused her daughter via Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Blanchard pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 and was granted parole in December 2023.
If the Menendez brothers are released — they have currently submitted a habeas corpus petition and are also seeking possible re-sentencing — Blanchard warns them not to rush straight into the entertainment world.
“If they ever do get released, take a break, really kind of like work on yourself, get your feet on the ground,” Blanchard said to TMZ. “And then if that’s something you want to do, go right ahead.”
