The orange and blue kick off their first match of the regular season Saturday night.

The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. at TQL Stadium against the New York Red Bulls, who were the runner-ups in last year’s MLS Cup.

This will be the team’s first season since 2020 without MVP and star player Luciano “Lucho” Acosta. Now, newly acquired Brazilian midfielder Evander da Silva Ferreira, formerly of the Portland Timbers, will take his place.

Togolese forward Kévin Denkey was also recruited by the team at the last minute this offseason, giving the team’s already high-powered offense even more firepower.

Also on the front lines, after staging lengthy practice holdouts during the offseason, star forwards Yuya Kubo and Luca Orellano could also potentially be seeing their return to the field. Orellano recently signed an extension with the team that will last until 2029. However, the team has not confirmed specifically whether both men would play on Saturday.

This will be FC Cincinnati’s second official match of the year. Earlier this week, the team got off to a strong start in the Concacaf Champions Cup by beating Honduran club FC Motagua 4-1.

The team already has high expectations to live up to this season. Power rankings from MLS’s website currently estimate FC Cincinnati to be the fifth-strongest club of the league’s 30 teams. It is listed above its regional rival, the Columbus Crew, which is ranked seventh.

Additionally, the 2025 season will also see the introduction of the league’s newest team, San Diego FC.

For those going to the game, prepare to bundle up. Temperatures will start out in the low 30s at kickoff before dipping into the high 20s by the end of the match.

On TV, the game can only be watched with an MLS Season Pass from Apple TV. It will not be aired elsewhere.

Cincinnati opens as slight favorites against the Red Bulls in betting odds.

After a year of great films and television shows the Screen Actor’s Guild will come together to give awards on their favorite performances of the year.

The SAG Awards will honor those who performed their best work and the voting is done by their peers in the union.

Here are the predictions we believe will win for the best television and film performances in 2024.

The predictions were made by Megan Camponovo who covers entertainment for Hearst Television’s National Desk, along with other members of the National Desk staff.

Adrien Brody, “The Brutalist”

Timothée Chalamet, “A Complete Unknown”

Daniel Craig, “Queer”

Colman Domingo, “Sing Sing”

Ralph Fiennes, “Conclave”

Our prediction: Adrien Brody, “The Brutalist”

Adrien Brody has received massive critical acclaim for his portrayal of Lazlo Toth in “The Brutalist.” Brody gives a strong performance as a Jewish man moving his family to America after World War II. Despite the controversy behind Brody using artificial intelligence to help with his accent, Body has been a dominant force this awards season and will continue to win.

Pamela Anderson, “The Last Showgirl”

Cynthia Erivo, “Wicked”

Karla Sofía Gascón, “Emilia Pérez”

Mikey Madison, “Anora”

Demi Moore, “The Substance”

Our prediction: Demi Moore, “The Substance”

Demi Moore is bringing a new face to the horror genre. As Elizabeth in “The Substance,” she is a force of nature. Moore is so clearly able to portray the sorrow, desperation and insanity behind Elizabeth and has the audience on the edge of their seats for the entirety of the movie.

Jonathan Bailey, “Wicked”

Yura Borisov, “Anora”

Kieran Culkin, “A Real Pain”

Edward Norton, “A Complete Unknown”

Jeremy Strong, “The Apprentice”

Our prediction: Kieran Culkin, “A Real Pain”

Once again, Kieran Culkin steals every scene of “A Real Pain” that he’s in. While many say that Culkin is playing himself in this role, it’s hard to argue that he is not incredible at it. He is able to portray a character who truly is “a real pain,” yet someone so desperate for acceptance.

Monica Barbaro, “A Complete Unknown”

Jamie Lee Curtis, “The Last Showgirl”

Danielle Deadwyler, “The Piano Lesson”

Ariana Grande, “Wicked”

Zoe Saldana, “Emilia Pérez”

Our prediction: Zoe Saldaña, “Emilia Pérez”

Zoe Saldaña is the best part of the controversial movie “Emilia Pérez.” She is the shining star out of all the performances in the film and saves it as best she can. After winning the Golden Globe and BAFTA for her performance it can be inferred she will take home another award for the role at the ceremony.

“Anora”

“A Complete Unknown”

“Conclave”

“Emilia Pérez”

“Wicked”

Our prediction: “Conclave”

A cardinal who carries a turtle, a cardinal who vapes and Stanley Tucci? What more could you want in a movie? Joking aside, the all-star cast featuring Stanley Tucci, Ralph Fiennes and John Lithgow create such an interesting dynamic of cardinals trying to come together to elect a new pope. Every single actor gives a unique take on a cardinal and are able to perform off each other’s energy.

Javier Bardem, “Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story”

Colin Farrell, “The Penguin”

Richard Gadd, “Baby Reindeer”

Kevin Kline, “Disclaimer”

Andrew Scott, “Ripley”

Our prediction: Colin Farrell, “The Penguin”

Colin Farrell creates a different version of DC’s Penguin in “The Penguin.” He is evil and conniving and so convincing. The audience feels pure hatred toward the character, but can still feel bad for him because of Farrell’s portrayal.

Kathy Bates, “The Great Lillian Hall”

Cate Blanchett, “Disclaimer”

Jodie Foster, “True Detective: Night Country”

Lily Gladstone, “Under The Bridge”

Jessica Gunning, “Baby Reindeer”

Cristin Milioti, “The Penguin”

Our prediction: Cristin Milioti, “The Penguin”

Cristin Milioti gives the performance of a lifetime as Sofia Falcone in “The Penguin.” She, like her co-star Colin Farrell, captivates the audience and plays such an insane yet heartbreaking character. She and Farrell portray amazing onscreen chemistry between two conniving characters.

Tadanobu Asano, “Shōgun”

Jeff Bridges, “The Old Man”

Gary Oldman, “Slow Horses”

Eddie Redmayne, “The Day Of The Jackal”

Hiroyuki Sanada, “Shōgun”

Our prediction: Hiroyuki Sanada, “Shōgun”

Hiroyuki Sanada as Lord Yoshii Toranaga in “Shōgun” is the reason why “Shōgun” was received with such great remarks. Sanada makes the viewer question his role in the Japanese Council of Regents as his only focus is to protect the young lord. Sanada must stand strong and fight for his honor among his community while also questioning his place within it.

Kathy Bates, “Matlock”

Nicola Coughlan, “Bridgerton”

Allison Janney, “The Diplomat”

Keri Russell, “The Diplomat”

Anna Sawai, “Shōgun”

Our prediction: Anna Sawai, “Shōgun”

Anna Sawai’s compassion as Toda Mariko in “Shōgun” shows that she is different from everyone else in the community, wanting to understand and increase her knowledge of the world. Sawai is able to perfectly portray a woman who is scared yet so confident in her abilities as she navigates and learns more about the world around her.

Adam Brody, “Nobody Wants This”

Ted Danson, “A Man On The Inside”

Harrison Ford, “Shrinking”

Martin Short, “Only Murders In The Building”

Jeremy Allen White, “The Bear”

Our prediction: Jeremy Allen White, “The Bear”

Jeremy Allen White gives another unforgettable performance as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in “The Bear.” White continues to steal the scenes he is in as he continues to struggle with the loss of his brother as well as opening a new restaurant and striving for a Michelin star. After winning the Golden Globe and Emmy for his performance, it can be inferred he will be taking home another SAG AFTRA award.

Kristen Bell, “Nobody Wants This”

Quinta Brunson, “Abbott Elementary”

Liza Colón-Zayas, “The Bear”

Ayo Edebiri, “The Bear”

Jean Smart, “Hacks”

Our prediction: Jean Smart, “Hacks”

As usual, Jean Smart is a comedic gem. Her timing is impeccable and she is the heart and soul of the show. After winning the Golden Globe and Emmy for her performance, it can be inferred she will be taking home another SAG AFTRA award.

“Bridgerton”

“The Day Of The Jackal”

“The Diplomat”

“Shōgun”

“Slow Horses”

Our prediction: “Shōgun”

“Shōgun” continues to shine at every awards show because of its cast. Every single actor and actress gives a performance of a lifetime and shines through in every scene. After sweeping nearly all major award shows in both individual and cast categories, it can be inferred that “Shōgun” will continue to shine at SAG AFTRA.

“Abbott Elementary”

“The Bear”

“Hacks”

“Only Murders In The Building”

“Shrinking”

Our prediction: “Hacks”

“Hacks” tells a hilarious and compelling story that just keeps on giving. The cast is funny and works off each other, enhancing all of their performances. After sweeping nearly all major award shows in both individual and cast categories, it can be inferred that “Hacks” will continue to shine at SAG AFTRA.

“Deadpool & Wolverine”

“Dune: Part Two”

“The Fall Guy”

“Gladiator II”

“Wicked”

Our prediction: “The Fall Guy”

It would be a crime if the movie honoring stunt people did not win the award for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture. The movie encapsulates what it is like to be a stunt person while still offering a little comedy.

“The Boys”

“Fallout”

“House Of The Dragon”

“The Penguin”

“Shōgun”

Our prediction: “Shōgun”

“Shōgun” has amazing fight and stunt scenes that are heavily inspired and mimic the fighting styles of Japanese warriors in the 1600s. The stunts are hard to imitate, yet the stunt cast performs them with such dedication.
