Tattooed rock ‘n’ roll fan, 38, confirms she’s the mother of Dave Grohl’s secret love child
A Los Angeles-based rock ‘n’ roll fan has confirmed to the Post that she is the mother of Dave Grohl’s secret love child.
Jennifer Young, 38, divulged that the Foo Fighters frontman, 56, fathered her baby girl — and records show that the little one, who was born on Aug. 1, 2024, has his last name.
Young — a Florida-born music-lover covered in tattoos — has been living in a quiet, unassuming LA neighborhood with her mother. She is often seen taking her nearly 7-month-old daughter for walks around the block.
Young requested that the baby’s name not be disclosed “because there’s some really angry fans.”
“Protecting her identity is really important,” she said.
Grohl’s rep did not respond to the Post’s request for comment.
The musician — who has been married to wife Jordyn Blum since 2003 — shockingly revealed he welcomed a child with another woman in September 2024 — one month after the baby was born.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he announced on Instagram at the time.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
While Grohl vowed to be part of his daughter’s life, it’s unclear how much contact he has with Young.
Although the two have never been spotted together, they were notably both in New York City over Valentine’s Day weekend.
The “Everlong” rocker was in town for the “Saturday Night Live” anniversary concert and special. It’s unclear what brought Young to the big city or if the two met up.
A former classmate described Young as “quiet” and “very pleasant,” but was shocked to learn of her connection to the rocker.
“I feel like she was more into Gwen Stefani than the Foo Fighters,” they said.
However, Young appears to be a big music lover, sporting tattoos of Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo.
Her baby was also seen in a cranial helmet — a device often used to correct the shape of an infant’s skull — decorated with Metallica, Led Zeppelin and Elvis Presley stickers.
Young does not have any public social media accounts, leaving little information about her private or professional life online.
Along with the newborn, Grohl is also dad to daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, all of whom he shares with Blum.
The former Nirvana drummer and Blum, 48, tied the knot at their Los Angeles home on Aug. 2, 2003 — the “My Hero” singer’s second marriage and the model’s first.
Grohl’s affair was really “rough” on his wife of 21 years, who took off her wedding ring before the news broke and kept it off following the affair.
“Jordyn is focused on her own life and her girls,” a source told People at the time.
“Her mind is not on her marriage though. She doesn’t trust Dave,” they added. “She’s not wearing her wedding ring.”
Although the rockstar hired a divorce attorney, he reportedly dropped the lawyer in November in hopes he could “work things out” with his wife.
While he knew he “messed up,” he “loves his family” and didn’t “want to lose” them.
Grohl and Blum were spotted together for the first time in nearly six months ahead of his trip to New York.
On Feb. 11, the “Times Like These” rocker was photographed getting into Blum’s car after she picked him up from a house in Los Angeles.
Grohl carried a duffle bag as he exited the home. The two seemed deep in conversation as they drove away.
They both seemingly wore their wedding bands on their middle fingers rather than their ring fingers.

Dave Grohl’s baby mama is a 38-year-old, Florida-born rock ‘n’ roll fan who now resides in Los Angeles with their child, she confirmed to The Post.
Jennifer Young had a baby girl with the married Foo Fighters frontman, 56, on Aug. 1 of last year — and the tot has Grohl’s last name, according to records obtained by The Post.

Young is raising the child in a modest house with her own mother in a leafy neighborhood of Los Angeles.
It’s unclear how much contact Grohl has with Young, who sports tattoos of Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo.
She has been spotted pushing the baby in a stroller around Los Angeles — and the nearly 7-month-old girl has even sported a helmet with stickers of Elvis, Led Zeppelin, and Keanu Reeves.
Young — whose bottle-blonde locks resemble those of Grohl’s wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum — was recently in New York City on Valentine’s Day, at the same time the rocker was in town for Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary show.
Young has not been publicly seen with the “Everlong” crooner.
The identity of the woman who had a baby with one of the most famous rock stars in the world has remained a mystery ever since he revealed he cheated on Blum in an Instagram post last September.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote at the time. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
He added, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
It also appears that Young’s entire identity had been scrubbed from the internet with little trace of her professional life or social media.
Concerned that Grohl’s fans will lash out at her and her baby, Young requested that The Post not name the child.
“Protecting her identity is really important,” Young said, “because there’s some really angry fans.”
Reps for Grohl didn’t return a request for comment Friday.
The revelation of Grohl’s affair sent shockwaves through the industry — destroying his long-standing “good guy” reputation and devastating his family. Sources told The Post he and his wife Blum, 48, have struggled to rebuild their relationship.
She stopped wearing her wedding ring, and friends said that she “didn’t trust” her husband.
The couple was spotted together in Los Angeles on Feb. 11 — just days before the singer and Young were in the Big Apple at the same time. It was the first time they were seen together since the baby news broke.
Grohl and Blum pair share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. After Grohl’s bombshell confession, daughter Violet deactivated her social media before returning to the platforms a month later.
Grohl’s first marriage was in 1994 to Jennifer Youngblood, a photographer.
The pair split in 1997, and Grohl admitted he had cheated on her.
For those who knew the rocker’s new baby mama, the revelation of Grohl’s baby comes as a surprise.

The name of the woman who welcomed a baby with Dave Grohl has reportedly come forward months after news of his cheating scandal.
Page Six reported on Friday, February 21, that Jennifer Young — a 38-year-old from Los Angeles — welcomed a child with Grohl in August 2024 amid his marriage to wife Jordyn Blum. (Us Weekly has reached to to Grohl’s team for comment.)
Young reportedly asked the publication not to reveal the name of her and Grohl’s child, stating that there are “some really angry fans.” She noted: “Protecting her identity is really important.”
Grohl, who has been married Blum since 2003, announced in a statement shared via Instagram in September 2024, that he had cheated on his wife and welcomed a baby outside of their marriage. (Grohl and Blum share daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.)
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. Despite the scandal, he and Blum were spotted out together earlier this month. It was also reported in December 2024 that the family had plans to spend the holidays together.
Following Grohl’s cheating revelation, an excerpt surfaced from snowboarder Tina Basich’s 2003 memoir in which she accused Grohl of seeing another woman during their two-year relationship in the 1990s.
“I don’t know how anyone in his profession can have a normal relationship with a girlfriend … or two, as it turned out,” Basich alleged in Pretty Good for a Girl: The Autobiography of a Snowboarding Pioneer. “I found out secondhand, through the grapevine, when it seemed like everyone else in the world knew about it but me.”
Basich attempted to get details from Grohl, who allegedly told her “nothing” and broke things off with her.
“All I got was a five-minute phone call from him, after five weeks of me calling and trying to get ahold of it because I just had to know if these rumors were true and had to hear it straight from the source,” she wrote.
Before his marriage to Blum, Grohl tied the knot with Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1994, but the twosome divorced in 1997 after Grohl admitted to infidelity during their relationship, per The Guardian.
“I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married,” Grohl told Melody Maker magazine in 1999 following his divorce with Youngblood. “I miss her a ton, she’s the funniest goddamn weirdo you’ve ever met in your life. Absolutely adorable. It would have been better had we not got married. But you live and you learn.”
