j–hope feat. Miguel‘s “Sweet Dreams” tops this week’s new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (March 7) on Billboard, choosing the BTS star’s fresh song with an R&B veteran as their favorite new music release of the past week.
There was tough competition in this week’s poll, but the latest from j-hope managed to bring in 77% of the vote. Voters this week chose “Sweet Dreams” over new music releases from talent across genres — with artists in the mix including JENNIE, Lady Gaga, Doechii, Dolly Parton and more.
The single, which just dropped on March 7, is a top pick by Billboard readers just in time for j-hope’s solo debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, March 10, where he’ll take the stage to perform “Sweet Dreams.”
It also arrives in the midst of his Hope on the Stage Tour, which kicked off in Seoul at the end of February and makes its way to Brooklyn later this week. Dates in Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland and Los Angeles follow, and then j-hope will bring the show to Asia.
j-hope, producer Johnny Goldstein and songwriters Sam Martin, Sean Douglas and Theron Makiel Thomas have credits on the track.
Among the new music trailing behind “Sweet Dreams” on the poll this week are two albums that have been highly anticipated: JENNIE’s Ruby, with 12% of the vote, and Lady Gaga’s Mayhem, with 7% of the vote.
