Pop star Tate McRae bringing ‘Miss Possessive Tour’ to Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – One of music’s rising stars is coming to Michigan.

Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer Tate McRae will perform at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on Oct. 22 as part of her Miss Progressive Tour. She will be joined by special guest Alessi Rose.

She will also perform at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Aug. 16 and Oct. 13.

McRae, 21, rose to prominence on the American reality TV series “So You Think You Can Dance,” but has since emerged as one of pop’s biggest stars.

Hit songs include “you broke me first,” “greedy” and her new song, “sports car.”

“Tate’s versatility as a performer has captivated audiences around the world. Whether she’s delivering a powerful vocal performance or executing high-energy choreography, Tate brings a unique blend of artistry and authenticity to every stage,” a news release said.

She has garnered more than 12.8 billion career streams and has been nominated for Billboard Music Awards, MTV VMAs, People’s Choice Awards, and iHeartRadio Music Awards.

She’s been featured on Variety’s 2022 Power of Young Hollywood list, Billboard’s 21 Under 21 list for four consecutive years and Forbes 2021 30 Under 30 list where she was the youngest musician on the list.

Her highly anticipated third album “So Close To What” will be released on Friday. It is described as “an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love and nostalgia.”

Tickets will soon be available online. Artist presale begins at 11 a.m. on Feb. 26. General on-sale will start at 11 a.m. on Feb. 27.

Continuing to stake her place among the biggest pop breakouts of 2025, Tate McRae has added a second Little Caesars Arena date to her upcoming world tour.

The 21-year-old singer-dancer will play LCA on Oct. 13, on top of her previously announced Aug. 16 concert at the downtown arena.

The October show in Detroit was one of 23 new dates unveiled Wednesday as McRae extends her Miss Possessive Tour, set to kick off March 18 in Mexico City.

Tickets for McRae’s Oct. 13 Little Caesars Arena show will go on sale at 11 a.m. Feb. 27 through Ticketmaster. A limited number of tickets will be available in a presale for American Express members starting at 11 a.m. Feb. 25, while a fan presale will launch at 11 a.m. Feb. 26.

British TikTok up-and-comer Alessi Rose is slated to open McRae’s October LCA visit. Zara Larsson is still on board as opener for the August show.

McRae announced the original round of Miss Possessive Tour dates in November as the Canadian artist makes another leap in a career that took flight with her 2016 stint on “So You Think You Can Dance.” It comes in support of her third album, “So Close to What,” due Friday.

Pop sensation and internet phenomenon Tate McRae is coming to Seattle.

The singer has announced 23 new dates for her “Miss Possessive Tour,” which includes a stop at Climate Pledge Arena on Friday, Oct. 3. Special guest Alessi Rose will join McRae in Seattle.

The highly-anticipated tour spans 80 dates worldwide, including the U.S., Mexico, Chile, France and more.

McRae is a triple threat who has taken social media by storm with her electric live performances, steamy music videos, catchy songs and unique voice. Her third studio album, “So Close To What,” will be released on Friday, Feb. 21.
