The injury report for Sixers-Celtics is … something
FILED UNDER:
It might be easier to tell you who is actually playing for the Sixers and Celtics tonight.
Paul George is the latest player to officially be ruled out for the Sixers’ matchup against the Celtics on TNT Thursday night.
But he’s far from the only one — and there could be more to come!
Let’s start with who is out for each team:
On top of that, Justin Edwards (left ankle sprain) is questionable for the Sixers while Jayson Tatum (right shoulder impingement) and Sam Hauser (right ankle sprain) have the same designation for the Celtics.
Here’s a rundown of who will definitely be available:
(As of now, Jalen Hood-Schifino is listed as out on G League assignment, but that could change)
Surely this exactly what TNT and the league were hoping for when they put this game on national television! We’re so locked in on Grimes vs. White tonight. Also, you have Lonnie Walker IV probably getting a start against the team that cut him after training camp.
Are these storylines getting you juiced?! No?!
OK, fair.

76ers vs. Celtics odds, line, prediction, start time: 2025 NBA picks, March 6 best bets from proven model
The Boston Celtics (44-18) and the Philadelphia 76ers (21-40) link up for an Eastern Conference showdown on Thursday evening. The Sixers have lost 11 of their last 12 games, including two straight. The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Philadelphia, 126-112, on March 4. Meanwhile, the Celtics topped the Portland Trail Blazers, 128-118, on Wednesday. Tyrese Maxey (back) is out while Paul George (groin) is questionable for Philadelphia. Jaylen Brown (knee), Jrue Holiday (finger), Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Al Horford (toe) are out for Boston.
Tipoff from TD Garden in Boston is at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Celtics are 13.5-point favorites in the latest 76ers vs. Celtics odds from SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 218.5. Boston is at -885 on the money line (risk $885 to win $100), with Philly at +592 (risk $100 to win $592). Before locking in any Celtics vs. 76ers picks, make sure to check out the NBA predictions and betting advice from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times and has returned well over $10,000 in betting profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks over the past six-plus seasons. The model enters Week 20 of the 2024-25 NBA season on a sizzling 147-107 roll on all top-rated NBA picks dating back to last season, returning nearly $4,000. It’s also an outstanding 18-10 (64%) on top-rated spread picks this season. Anyone following at sportsbooks and on betting apps could have seen huge returns.
