The pseudo-holiday is celebrated in the United States each year on March 4. According to Economic Times, Jill Nico established National Sons Day in 2018 as a way to encourage meaningful conversations between parents and sons.
But did you know National Sons Day actually comes around twice a year? Here’s what you should know.

National Sons Day is just what it sounds like: a day to celebrate sons. Similar holidays celebrate other family members throughout the year, such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, National Daughters Day and Grandparents’ Day.
Yes, National Sons Day is also observed Sept. 28.
It’s unclear why there are two National Sons Days. Some blame social media for the double quasi-holiday, as the two dates came about in the age of the influencers, some of whom chose March to celebrate while others chose September.

National Daughters Day is Thursday, Sept. 25.
Mother’s Day lands on Sunday, May 11, this year.
Father’s Day will be observed Sunday, June 15.
