Sabrina and Barry reportedly met during Paris Fashion Week, while attending a Givenchy show, according to E! News.
The former Disney star was pictured wearing a sheer black dress to the event, while the Dubliner was seen wearing black trousers and a white bomber jacket.
It’s claimed that Sabrina wrote her song Bed Chem about their first run-in.
She starts the song by singing, “I was in a sheer dress the day that we met,” and later says: “Who’s the cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent?”
Sabrina and Barry were spotted for the first time together after leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles. Around this time they were also seen together in a parking lot.
They were seen at Luna Luna, an open-air museum and amusement park in Hamburg, Germany.
Sabrina and Barry both attended W Magazine’s Grammys party and were seen together.
The publication shared a picture of them, with Barry covering his mouth and Sabrina holding a martini glass up to her face.
The pair were pictured out the day before Valentine’s Day. They were leaving West Hollywood restaurants, Delilah and Ysabel.
Sabrina opened for Taylor Swift during the Singaporean leg of her Eras Tour, with Barry attending to show support.
Fans claimed that they saw them hugging each other after one of the shows.
Sabrina and Barry were photographed together at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party after walking the red carpet separately. At the party, the pair posed for the camera covering their mouths.
Barry commented on Sabrina’s Instagram. In a snap of her wearing Skims, he wrote: “barbie emoji”.
In another post, the Grammy winner announced her new single Espresso and Barry commented: “Tuuuuunnnne M’darlin !!”.
Sabrina and Barry went to Coachella, where he watched her perform Espresso for the first time.
They were also pictured enjoying other performers’ music with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
They made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala. Sabrina wore a fitted black dress, which ended in a cloud-like train coloured with several blue hues. Barry donned a brown Burberry suit and top hat.
Barry was seen at Sabrina’s BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend set.
Sabrina released a new song called Please Please Please, which featured Barry in the music video.
Sabrina told Variety that she doesn’t want to “sound biased” but she thinks Barry is “one of the best actors of this generation”.
A source claimed to People that the pair’s relationship was “on and off”
Rumours began circulating that they had gone their separate ways, with Barry later liking one of Sabrina’s Instagram posts.
Barry attended Sabrina’s concert in Virginia for her Short n’ Sweet Tour.
During her performance of Juno, she changed the lyrics from “I hear you knockin’, baby, come on up” to “I hear you knockin’, Barry, come on up”.
While on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Barry spoke about Sabrina, saying: “I’m incredibly blessed”.
He added: “[She’s] such a strong, independent lady who’s massively talented. Pretty special.”
A source claimed to People that Sabrina and Barry “decided to take a break” after a year of dating.
“They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” the source said.

Fans were sent into a whirlwind when the romantic relationship between Brit Awards performer Sabrina Carpenter and actor Barry Keoghan was confirmed.
The Dublin-born Saltburn star, 32, was first linked with the 25-year-old Espresso singer in 2023, before they turned heads with their stunning appearance together at the Met Gala the following year.
During a podcast with Louis Theroux, Barry expressed how “incredibly blessed” he felt to be with Sabrina, and this affection was evident when he starred in her music video for Please, Please, Please.
However, after just a year of dating, the couple ended their relationship amidst shocking infidelity rumours. These claims were dismissed by insiders who maintained that the pair were simply “young and career-focused and decided to take a break”.
Following the announcement of their split, a source close to the couple confirmed the news, attributing their respective careers as the cause according to reports in the Mirror.

Both Sabrina and Barry are currently in high demand – Sabrina put on a racy performance at the Brits on Saturday night, fresh off her win for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys, while Barry continues to make waves in Hollywood following his lead role in Saltburn.
A source close to the couple shared with People: “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break .It’s been challenging for their relationship since she started going on tour and has been gone a lot. Their schedules were not aligning. All the time spent apart it was hard to maintain a relationship amid her [Sabrina’s] career exploding.”
Despite the pair’s public displays of affection prior to their split, allegations of infidelity began to circulate. The rumours soon pinpointed influencer Breckie Hill as the woman supposedly involved with Barry.
Gossip platform DeuxMoi published an anonymous tip-off suggesting a breakup between a “rising pop star” and her “foreign actor boyfriend” due to alleged cheating.
The post further claimed that the couple were “done for good” and that “on the closing night of her biggest tour to date in LA, he was busy getting very cozy at San Vicente Bungalows with a blonde, semi-famous, LA-based influencer (who’s particularly big on Tiktok)”. It also suggested that the pop star discovered “he had been chatting with said influencer behind her back for months in a not-innocent-at-all way.”
Neither Barry nor Sabrina responded to these allegations, and Breckie denied ever meeting the actor. However, as the rumours persisted, Barry chose to deactivate his social media accounts due to the intense online backlash.
On December 7, Barry reached his limit and deactivated his Instagram account. He then shared a heartfelt statement on X, asking for respect with the caption “Please be respectful x”.
He expressed his frustration at having his name “dragged across the internet”, which led him to take action.
He stated: “I can only sit and take so much. My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond too. I have to respond now because it’s getting to a place where there are too many lines being crossed. I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work.
“The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.
“Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for. Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my grannies door. Sitting outside my baby boys house intimidating them. That’s crossing a line. Please be kind. Thank you.”
Just when fans thought the drama between Barry and Sabrina had subsided, Sabrina released a cryptic video that seemed to contain a subtle jab at Barry, leaving fans shocked.
On Valentine’s Day, pop sensation Sabrina, niece of Bart Simpson star Nancy Cartwright, unveiled a new music video for her hit song Please Please Please, featuring country icon Dolly Parton. The remix video, which replaced the original featuring Sabrina’s ex Barry, sparked speculation of subtle jabs at her past relationship.
The vintage black-and-white video showcases Sabrina and Dolly in glamorous attire, singing and driving along an empty highway. The plot thickens when Dolly hands a shovel to Sabrina as they stand behind their truck.

One fan commented on the YouTube video: “Her getting DOLLY PARTON on this song, dropping it on Valentine’s Day, and shading Barry in this music video is such a slay I love this so much. I had no clue until I got it recommended rn on YouTube.”
One fan exclaimed: “The fact that Sabrina Carpenter releasing this MV in Valentine’s day with Barry ending like that is DIABOLICAL!” Another joined in, quipping: “Barry was the only man to ever survive a Sabrina video so she had to come back and make things right”.
