Looking to regain momentum after two near top-10 upsets slipped away, Iowa women’s basketball heads to Michigan for the final road trip of the regular season. BTN+ will carry Wednesday’s 6 p.m. contest.

The Hawkeyes (18-9, 8-8 Big Ten Conference) nearly knocked off Ohio State and UCLA last week but had to settle for coming up just short. Iowa will look to end February on a high note with key Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament positioning at play.

Meanwhile, Michigan (19-8, 10-6) enters having won five of six while securing several toss-up victories. The Wolverines won four straight to begin February over Oregon, Nebraska, Michigan State and Indiana — then lost at Maryland — before rebounding against Penn State last Saturday.

What: Iowa (18-9, 8-8) at Michigan (19-8, 10-6), Big Ten women’s basketball

When/where: 6 p.m. (CT) Wednesday, Crisler Center, Ann Arbor, Mich.

TV: BTN+

Radio: Hawkeye Radio Network affiliates

Iowa’s next game: Wisconsin, 3 p.m. Sunday

What to know: The final week of the regular season has arrived, and plenty still is on the line for both teams in terms of Big Ten tournament seeding.

Michigan currently is the 6-seed, could climb as high as 4 and as low as 10. Iowa probably would be the 9-seed with two wins, 11 if it splits its final two.

Iowa dropped a pair of close games last week to top-10 teams, in overtime at Ohio State and a 67-65 verdict at home against UCLA.

Despite those two losses, the Hawkeyes have climbed to a No. 7 seed in Charlie Creme’s latest NCAA tournament projections.

Michigan has won five of its last six. The lone setback in that span was a road defeat against Maryland.

The Wolverines have four scorers averaging double figures in Olivia Olson (16.3 ppg), Syla Swords (15.7), Jordan Hobbs (13.3) and Mila Holloway (10.1).

Iowa’s Lucy Olsen is 51 points away from 2,000 for her career. She played her first three seasons at Villanova.
