Ariana Madix Teases “Very Over-The-Top Version” Of Herself On ‘Will Trent’

As Vanderpump Rules moves in another direction, Ariana Madix is taking on scripted primetime.

The reality star recently teased her upcoming appearance as a “very over-the-top version” of herself in this week’s Will Trent, Season 3 episode ‘Abigail B.’, airing Tuesday at 8pm ET on ABC.

“It’s been so much fun playing myself, but playing a very over-the-top version of myself and my life,” said Madix in a behind-the-scenes video. “There’s a lot of things in here that ‘I’ do, that my character does, that are really fun and exciting. You’re gonna have to tune in and see all of my special skills.

In the upcoming episode, Detective Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) assists Madix with personal security, until a seemingly routine intervention escalates into violence. Sparks appear to fly between the pair as the Love Island host shows off her parkour skills.

“And I think what’s really important about my character is she’s really serving as a kind of new beginning for Detective Ormewood,” added Madix. “So, you’ll have to see how that turns out.”

Madix’s Will Trent role comes after Bravo announced Vanderpump Rules‘ Season 12 renewal in November, as well as a whole new cast joining star Lisa Vanderpump. Madix appeared on the show since its first season in 2013, when she worked at Vanderpump’s restaurants SUR and Villa Blanca.

Noting she is “forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible cultural phenomenon,” she said in a statement, “Vanderpump Rules, you will forever be that girl. I was up til 4am looking for all the right pics and the right words, but there’s no post or caption that could ever encapsulate everything.”

Amid the fallout from Scandoval, Madix has been busy hosting Love Island USA, competing on Dancing with the Stars in 2023 and taking over the role of Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago last year.
